3. Discussion and possible action to approve paving and driveway approaches
bids.

Special Board of Supervisors Meeting
Chair Hoenisch called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Present were Chairperson Betty Hoenisch, Supervisors Sue Shore and Tad Schult,
Clerk Tammi Walter, Treasurer Marilyn Grunenwald, Town road worker John
Marquardt and road contractors from RC Pavers and American Asphalt.
Discussion started with Chairperson Hoenisch, Supervisors Shore and Schult and
Town worker John Marquardt about whether to use a 2.5 inch or 3.0 inch thickness
for asphalt paving. The Board decided to talk at a later date and decide this.
Supervisor Schult made a motion to approve RC Pavers bid of $234,646.60
for Rainbow Drive – County Road K east to Brandenburg Avenue, RC
Pavers bid of $86,042.80 for Brandenburg Avenue – Rainbow Drive north to
end of town line, RC Pavers bid of $4713.50 for Playground Lane –
Brandenburg east to Shoreline Place, RC Pavers bid of $28,452.40 for
Shoreline Place – Playground Lane north/east back to Brandenburg Avenue.
Motion to approve American Asphalts bid of $19,010.91 for N. 28th Avenue –
Emery Drive north to Empire Lane, American Asphalts bid of $19,010.91 for
N. 29th Avenue – Emery Drive north to Empire Lane, American Asphalts bid
of $6,847.33 for Empire Lane – N. 28th Avenue west to N. 29th Avenue and
American Asphalts bid of $13,694.66 for Dixie Drive – Emery Drive south to
termi. Driveways will be awarded to respective bidders on these roads. A
completion date of no later than June 30, 2008 for RC Pavers on the north
end roads, with a $500.00 a day penalty if not paved by June 30, 2008 and a
July 30, 2008 completion date for American Asphalt on the south end roads,
with a $500.00 a day penalty if not paved by this date, seconded by
Supervisor Shore. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn at 6:48 p.m. by Supervisor Shore, seconded by Supervisor
Schult. Motion carried.
