OFFICIAL NOTICE AND AGENDA
The Board of Supervisors of the Town of Maine will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Texas Town Hall.
Agenda
1. Call meeting to order – Betty Hoenisch, Chairperson
2. Supervisors will travel to the Town of Texas Town Hall to attend the Public Hearing on the proposed corn facility.
3. Return to the Maine Town Hall.
4. Discussion and possible action regarding the Town’s position regarding the proposed corn facility.
5. Adjournment.

Special Board of Supervisor Meeting
Chair Hoenisch called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Chair Hoenisch, Supervisors Shore and Schult, Clerk Walter, Attorney Frokjer and Town residents traveled to the Town of Texas Municipal Center, T4510 River Hills Road, Wausau, WI 54403. This meeting was for a request for a conditional use permit. WI Rapids Grain, LLC – Douglas Weinkauf for a Conditional Use for a commercial grain elevator with railroad loading and unloading capabilities. This property is currently zoned as M-2 Heavy Industrial District.
The Town of Maine wanted to voice their opinion on something that could be detrimental to the Town. Chair Hoenisch explained to the Town of Texas Planning Commission the problems with the grain elevator in the Town of Maine that also is owned by Mr. Weinkauf. Attorney Frokjer who was also there on behalf of Pine River, asked the WI Rapids company why they didn’t come to the Town of Pine River since the rail spur will be going thru that township and explained to the company all of the steps they didn’t do correctly for the conditional use.
Comments continued from Town of Texas residents and Town of Maine residents.
The Town of Texas Planning Commission denied the conditional use but now this must go before their Board.
Town Board members traveled back to the Town of Maine Town Hall.
Motion to adjourn at 10:00 p.m.
