Minutes:
Chair Hoenisch called the special road meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
Sealed road bids were opened.
American Asphalt submitted the only bid for asphalt. Supervisor Zernicke made a motion to hire American Asphalt, seconded by Supervisor Wanke, motion carried.
Bids were reviewed for chip sealcoating.
These bids are cost per mile.
Fahrner-single coat- $11,997.00
Scott-single coat $12,032.00
Fahrner bid for Lower Circle-$6737.00-Double Chip seal
Scott bid for Lower Circle- $7,429.32-Double Chip seal
Fahrner bid for N. 14th Avenue- $12,492.00-Double Chip seal
Scott bid for N. 14th Avenue - $11,831.88-Doulbe Chip seal
Supervisor Wanke requested to table this decision until the June 12, 2006 Board Meeting, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke, motion carried.
Slag sealing per mile bids:
Fahrner was the only bid for slag sealing. The cost is $11,166.00
Supervisor Wanke made a motion to approve Fahrner bid for slag sealing, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke, motion carried.
Crack Sealing bids:
T & C Pavement Maintenance- $1.08 per pound
Bergman Companies: $1.14 per pound
Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, Inc. $1.22 per pound
Supervisor Zernicke made a motion to accept Fahrner’s bid for crack sealing at $1.22 per pound, seconded by Supervisor Wanke motion carried.
Road Granite (per Yard) bids:
Meverdin-$6.29
Red Rock $5.65
Ladick- south of Highway A- $6.14
Ladick-North of Highway A - $6.57
Supervisor Zernicke made a motion to accept Red Rock’s bid at $5.65 per yard , seconded by Supervisor Wanke, motion carried.
Road Base (per ton)
Anderson Brothers and Johnson- $5.85
Red Rock - $6.78
Supervisor Wanke a motion to accept Anderson Brothers at $5. 85 per ton, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke, motion carried.
Shouldering per mile:
Anderson Brothers- $10.35 per ton
Supervisor Wanke made a motion to accept Anderson Brothers for shouldering at 10.35 a ton, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke, motion carried.
Supervisors toured and surveyed town roads that were on the proposed project list.
Supervisor Wanke made a motion to adjourn at 11:25 a.m., seconded by Supervisor Zernicke motion carried.
