Special Meeting on June 20, 2006

Minutes:
Chair Hoenisch called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.
Supervisors reviewed the road budget income and expenditure Excel Spreadsheet that Chair Hoenisch distributed.
Chair Hoenisch explained she had borrowed funds from the granite budget so the Town is able to complete the current road projects.
Chair Hoenisch explained that she had questioned the workers regarding what roads needed granite this summer and those roads are a portion of north 72nd Avenue, Apple Lane, and Cloverdale Drive.
Chair Hoenisch questioned Supervisor Wanke regarding the slag seal project. Supervisor Wanke stated he rode the roads and 28th Avenue is too far gone to slag seal according to Don Yaggie from Fahrner Asphalt Sealers. Supervisor Wanke explained per Don Yaggie north 44th Avenue from Falcon Drive south to Decator Drive is a good slag seal candidate.
Chair Hoenisch mentioned that two culverts on 44th Avenue will need to be replaced before construction begins and she will request a final estimate from Fahrner Asphalt to install culvert patches and slag seal and report back to the Supervisors.
The Board discussed the roads proposed for black topping which are a portion of Cassidy Drive, Decator Drive, North 14th, North 44th Avenue, and all of Deerbrook Circle and Deerbrook Court.
Discussion also followed on Lower Circle and a portion of North 14th Avenue which will be double seal coated.
The Board discussed the progress of culvert installations to date.
The Board will check to see if Hanz Contractors can haul the crushed rock recommended by Scott Construction for the double seal coat on North 14th Avenue as it’s more cost effective.
The Board went to the Steve Zahn property to examine the ditch as water is flowing across his field.
The Board traveled to the Parkchester Subdivision roads to discuss continuing
improvements.
The meeting adjourned at 10:14 a.m. Supervisor Zernicke made that motion,
seconded by Supervisor Wanke.
