The meeting was called to order 10:05 a.m. by Chair Hoenisch.
Present were Chair Hoenisch, Supervisors Wanke and Zernicke, Clerk Kimberly Freund, Treasurer Marilyn Grunenwald and Attorneys Reinertson and Frokjer.
Chair Hoenisch requested a motion to convene into closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(1)(e)(g) for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for advice concerning strategy to be adopted with respect to litigation or possible litigation in which the Town is or is likely to become involved.
Supervisor Wanke made a motion to convene into closed session, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke Motion carried.
Discussion was held in regards to present litigation and present council for the Town of Maine.
Chair Hoenisch asked for a motion to reconvene to open session, Supervisor Wanke made that motion, Seconded Marty Zernicke. Motion carried.
Other business:
Chair Hoenisch handed out the National Incident Management System requirement information and upcoming training dates. Supervisor Zernicke will be attend the seminar thru the fire department and Supervisor Wanke will attend in the near future.
Chairperson Hoenisch brought to the Board’s attention that the DNR has contacted the Town in regards to obtaining a storm water permit through the Wisconsin
June 15, 2005
Department of Natural Resources under Administrative Rule NR 216. This storm water permit is still under review and will be sent out within the next few months
along with an annual permitting fee. The Town’s Association over 80 towns in the State of Wisconsin maybe be able to withdraw from this annual permitting program due to a density factor of 500 people per square mile.
Supervisor Zernicke made a motion to have the Town use Nahn and Associates to submit the forms necessary to withdraw from the DNR 216 Program for a cost up to $400 as stated in their letter , Seconded by Supervisor Wanke. Motion carried.
Chair Hoenisch brought up the fact that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is currently accepting applications for the Small Local Hazard Elimination Program and suggested that we apply for a grant of up to $25,000 to submit 32nd Avenue from north from Highway K to Country road WW, and Falcon east of 32nd Avenue, Decator from Merrill Avenue west to Townline, 44th Avenue south from Decator to County Road U, and 60th Avenue south of Falcon Drive to Decator Drive.
Supervisor Wanke made a motion to apply for the grant, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke. Motion carried.
Supervisor Wanke made a motion to adjourn at 12:00 p.m. Supervisor Zernicke. Motion carried.
