December 12, 2003
A Special Meeting of the Board of Supervisors for the Town of Maine was held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2003, in the Town Hall, 6111 North 44th Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401.
Agenda for this meeting was posted on December 5, 2003 at the Chapter Two Restaurant, Northside Citgo, Richard’s Supper Club, Schmidt’s Bar and the Town Hall.
Present were Chairman Utecht, Supervisors Duane Grunenwald and Marty Zernicke, Treasurer Marilyn Grunenwald and Clerk Betty Hoenisch.
Chairman Utecht called the meeting to order at 9:06 a.m.
Chairman Utecht handed out the revised 2004 Insurance quotes that he received from Steve McLoed at Rural Insurance and Tom Ketchum at Laub and Horton. Chairman Utecht explained that Mr. Ketchum had lowered the garage property value and changed the workers compensation coverage for road grading based on the actual 2003 grader hours. Discussion followed regarding the values listed, workers compensation, deductibles, uninsured motorists and a treasurer’s bond. Chairman Utecht stated that he would check with Mr. Ketchum on the uninsured motorists and the treasurer’s bond items. Chairman Utecht explained the conversation with Mr. McLoed regarding building replacement cost coverage and the fact that Mr. McLoed could not give a Fire Department VFIS coverage quote. Chairman Utecht requested that the Board check over the new quotes and stated that the approval of an insurance package will be on the December 29, 2003 Special Board of Supervisor meeting.
The clerk handed out copies of the draft Waste Disposal Ordinance for the Board to review for the December 29, 2003 Public Hearing and Special Board meeting.
Next meeting will be Friday, December 29, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.
Mr. Zernicke made a motion to adjourn at 9:50 a.m., seconded by Mr. Grunenwald. Motion carried.
