The Board of Supervisors of the Town of Maine held a special meeting and closed session at the Town of Maine Town Hall on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.


AGENDA

1. Call meeting to order – Tad Schult, Town Chairman

2. Discussion and possible action on Humane Officer Training seminar.

3. Chairman will entertain a motion to convene into closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(1) (f) for the purpose of consideration of fire department personnel including the position of fire chief.

4. Adjourn the closed session.

5. Reconvene the special meeting.

A. Discussion and possible action on matter discussed in closed session.


6. Adjourn special meeting.

Special Board of Supervisor Meeting and Closed Session

The Board of Supervisors of the Town of Maine held a special meeting and closed session at the Maine Town Hall on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.

Chairman Tad Schult called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Present were Chairman Tad Schult, Supervisor Wes Schoepke and Supervisor Keith Rusch. Also present were Town Attorney Randy Frokjer and Fire Chief John Ohrmundt.

Discussion and possible action on Humane Officer Training seminar.

Chairman Schult explained town resident Jim Behrendt is willing to attend the Humane Officer Training seminar in Madison on September 26th thru September 30th. Mr. Behrendt will donate his time to attend the seminar. The Town would pay for the seminar tuition and lodging, food and travel expenses. This will cost the Town approximately $1,000.00. Mr. Behrendt plans to become the Town’s humane officer to assist with the Town’s animal issues. Supervisor Schoepke made a motion to approve Mr. Behrendt to attend the Humane Officer Training seminar, seconded by Supervisor Rusch. Motion carried.

Chairman Schult called for a motion to convene into closed session. Supervisor Schoepke made that motion, seconded by Supervisor Rusch. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote by Chairman Schult, Supervisor Wes Schoepke and Supervisor Keith Rusch.

Chief Ohrmundt was asked to join the closed session.

Chairman Schult called for a motion to adjourn closed session and reconvene the Board of Supervisor meeting. Supervisor Schoepke made that motion, seconded by Supervisor Rusch. Motion carried.

No action was taken on matter discussed in closed session.

Adjourn special meeting. Chairman Schult called for a motion to adjourn. Supervisor Rusch made a motion to adjourn at 9:03 p.m., seconded by Supervisor Schoepke Motion carried.
