The Board of Supervisors of the Town of Maine will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. to review proposed road construction projects.

Special Board of Supervisor Meeting
Chair Hoenisch called the special meeting to order at the Town Hall at 6:00 p.m.
Present were Chairperson Hoenisch, Supervisor Tad Schult, Public Works employees John Marquardt and Scott Cyzan and community member Glen Hoenisch.
The group traveled to RC Pavers asphalt plant to meet with Ryan and Randy Christensen. The Christensen’s gave a tour of their facility. Discussion and questions followed on trucking methods, the distance to some of the Town’s paving jobs, the difference between a two or three inch asphalt lift, the type of asphalt mix, the type of aggregate used and warranty they provide for their work.
Christensen’s took the group to tour several roads that they paved in the last three years in the Town of Ringle.
Christensen’s thanked the group for taking the time to view their plant and paving jobs. Ryan Christensen said that even if they are not awarded the asphalt bid, they are grateful for the time the Board took to check their work.
Chair Hoenisch told Christensen’s that the paving bid approval meeting has been scheduled for Monday, May 5, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
On the trip back to the Town Hall, the group stopped to view the Town of Wausau sub division road that RC Pavers paved last year.
Group traveled back to the Town Hall.
Discussion followed on the road paving bids, the asphalt bids that the Town of Texas received, the problems experienced by both asphalt bidders and work that should be done before the roads are paved.
Supervisor Schult made a motion to adjourn at 9:35 p.m., seconded by Chair Hoenisch. Motion carried.
