Agenda for this meeting was posted on or before April 6, 2006 at the Chapter Two Restaurant, Northside Citgo, Richard’s Supper Club, Schmidt’s Bar and the Town Hall.
Minutes:
1. Chair Hoenisch called the special meeting to order at 4:34 p.m.
A floor scrubber presentation was given to the Board- Model Saber 17.
The Board of Supervisors went on a road tour at the Carazella Subdivision.
Another floor scrubber was presented to the Board by Steve Steinke from Midland Papers.
2. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.
3. The accounts payable were delayed until after the road meeting.
4. Clerk Freund asked for a motion to accept last month’s minutes. Supervisor Wanke made a motion to accept the March 13, 2006 and April 6, 2006 minutes, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke, motion carried.
5. Chairperson’s Report: Chair Hoenisch reminded electors of the Annual Meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday, April 11, 2006). A reminder that the Office of Emergency Management will have a mock Tornado Watch and Warning the week of April 17-20.
Chair Hoenisch stated that the Board had a special meeting on April 6, 2006 and again this evening regarding road improvements.
6. Supervisor’s Report:
Supervisor Wanke stated he had a phone call regarding cutting brush on the side of the roads. Another comment he had from another caller questioning why you cannot put ashes in garbage bins of IROW’s. IROW asks residents not to put ashes in garbage bins due to the mess it makes.
Supervisor Zernicke said he had residents asking when the roads will be swept as the sand has built up over winter. The workers will be contacted to begin immediately.
7. Treasurer’s Report: Marilyn Grunenwald reported these figures month ending March 31, 2006:
Town of Maine Money Market Account $335,491.09
Deposits and Interest-Includes Lottery Credit $117,295.01
Expenses $60,881.10
Money Market Balance as of 3/31/06 $391,905.00
Town of Maine Checking 6,728.05
Certificate of Deposit 74,173.00
Town of Maine Fire Dept. Petty Cash Checking 1,478.65

Municipal NOW account loan amount $202,208.54
Supervisor Zernicke made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report, seconded by Supervisor Wanke motion carried.
8. Zoning Administrator’s Report: Lester Krueger stated he had six new building permits and that he has ten inspections he has conducted.
9. Other Business:
A. Discussion and possible action to appoint Reuben Roehl to another Board of
Appeals Term from May 2006-May 2009. Supervisor Zernicke made a motion to accept Reuben Roehl for another term on the Board of Appeals from May 2006 thru May 2009, Supervisor Wanke seconded the motion, motion carried.
B. Discussion and possible action to appoint Tom Gerum to the Board of Appeals
as a second alternate for a term from May 2006 to May 2009. Supervisor Wanke made a motion to accept Tom Gerum as a second alternate from May 2006 thru May 2009, Supervisor Zernicke seconded the motion, motion carried.
C. Discussion and possible action and presentation of a projector-Brian Maki.
Brian was unable to give the presentation, Kimberly Freund, Town Clerk gave
the presentation. Supervisor Zernicke made a motion to purchase a
projector that accommodates computers and also a projector to
accommodate transparencies. Supervisor Wanke seconded that motion,
motion carried.
D. Discussion and possible action on purchasing a floor scrubber for the Town
Hall. Supervisor Wanke made a motion to table this issue until floor
scrubbers are priced at CTL, seconded by Supervisor Zernicke, motion
carried.
Supervisors reviewed and approved the accounts payable bills, and the meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
The next Board of Supervisors will be Monday May, 8, 2006 with bill pay at 6:30 p.m. and the general meeting at 7:30 p.m.
